From New York City to the World
Both of us started in New York City, working for banking and law firms before joining the London insurance brokerage, J. H. Minet (later acquired by Aon). Twenty years ago we created ILSA. Using emerging technologies, ILSA brings licensing and compliance services once available only to the biggest brokerages to agencies of every size. We’re proud to have grown our team from a handful of dedicated individuals to a 50+ strong team of experts in insurance licensing, surplus lines tax filings and corporate compliance.

Still, for many, spending tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars to outsource compliance to ILSA just isn’t an option. For years, these folks have asked for copies of our internal guides or requested that we fly to their offices to conduct in-house training. But it just wasn’t practical to redirect ILSA’s manpower to make it happen. We needed a new approach.

Spot On Insurance builds on a foundation of sharing knowledge and resources. We’re distilling all the knowledge that our team has amassed over the last 20 years and reaching out to the industry regulators and thought leaders with whom we’ve built long-lasting relationships to produce a multi-format learning program.
Our cornerstone is our free podcast series. It brings together experts from every compliance discipline to share their knowledge and discuss the latest industry trends. Our commitment is to bring you the very best of what we’ve learned and the latest news about what’s happening now to reshape our industry.
We’ll have engaging online courses in the near future. They will offer “how-to” instructions and best practices for handling insurance licensing, surplus lines tax filings, corporate tax compliance and the myriad of other tasks needed to remain in good standing with industry regulators.
We also offer comprehensive online guides that bring the essential regulatory information from all fifty states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico together in one place!
